Bessarion is an underground subway station in Toronto . It lies on the Sheppard line of the Toronto Subway , at the intersection of Sheppard Avenue and Bessarion Road / Burbank Drive. The station has a central platform and is used by an average of 3,050 passengers every day (2015). This makes it the second least frequented station in the network after Ellesmere , which is due to the low density of buildings in the area.

There are transfer options to two bus routes. The station opened on November 24, 2002, along with the entire Sheppard Line between Sheppard-Yonge and Don Mills . The importance of the station is expected to increase significantly in the near future. The reason for this is the construction of Concord Park Place on the site of a former Canadian Tire tire warehouse . This new district is to include 20 high-rise buildings with around 5,000 apartments in the final stage.

Sylvie Bélanger was responsible for the artistic design. She made friezes with pictures of hands, feet and heads to represent the users of the station. The feet appear on the distribution level , the heads on pillars of the platform and the hands along the stairs up to the north entrance.
