Haus Bessunger Straße 72 is a listed half-timbered house from the early 18th century. It is in the Bessungen district of the southern Hessian city of Darmstadt .
Architecture and history
The two-storey , gabled half-timbered house was built in 1719. The house has an ornate ornamental framework and a beaver-tailed gable roof . On the gable ends of the first floor there are diamonds made of corner timber in the window parapets . On the long sides there are Wilder Mann figures, which are provided with curly and studded counter braces. The ornamental framework has been preserved in its original state. The house protrudes into the street space. It stands on the border between the rural and the Gründerzeit development in the old town center of Bessungen.
Monument protection
For architectural, architectural and city-historical reasons, the half-timbered house has the status of a monument according to the Hessian Monument Protection Act .
