The Marsteinen (Norwegian for sea stone ) is a nunatak on the Princess Martha coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . At the northern end of the Ahlmannryggen it rises 10 km northeast of the Valken .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named the hill, mapped it using aerial photographs and surveys of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952) and aerial photographs that were taken between 1958 and 1959 during the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
