Best Hope Gear

The Beste-Hope-Gang is a geological fault with a very short, trending extension near Wolfshagen in the Harz Mountains . It systematically belongs to the Upper Harz veins . On the best hope corridor, rather unsuccessful small-scale mining attempts were carried out.

The course west of the former Sülteberg quarry is unknown. Sülteberg quarry - Alexanderplatz - Westerberg - Dittmarsberg - Granetalsperre - encroachment on the Todberger Gangzug on the Lost Mountain .

Paragenesis, peculiarities

The best hope corridor has some chalcopyrite , pyrite and goethite . The gaits are made of quartz and calcite .

Outcrops

There are no clear indications of the existence of a passage.

Around 1865 a trial mining took place on the summit of the Westerberg.
