The Betek GmbH & Co. KG is a German manufacturer of carbide tipped wear tools . The tool systems for around 15 areas of application are developed, designed and manufactured at the German location in Aichhalden in the Black Forest . The main focus of the product range is road construction, special civil engineering, the recycling industry as well as mining and tunneling.

history

The company emerged in 1981 from the Karl Simon company , which originally refined components for the local watch industry. The first orders for Betek were carbide tools for coal mining . Tool systems for roadheaders , shearers and continuous miners are traditionally supplied to this day . The program was gradually expanded to include other areas. In addition, Betek produces hard metal in various geometries for industrial areas. Since 1993, Betek has been part of the listed Indus Holding AG together with the entire Simon group of companies, which consists of four individual companies . In 2015, the company, together with Bilstein & Siekermann GmbH + Co. KG, set up its own production facility in Taicang in order to serve customers on-site from Germany.
