Bethany Ashton Wolf
Bethany Ashton Wolf (* 1975 in Lake Charles , Louisiana ) is an American screenwriter, film director and film producer.
Life
Bethany Ashton Wolf grew up with her brother in Lake Charles . She attended St. Louis Catholic High School there and then moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the film business.
Wolf originally wanted to become an actress, but then turned around and co-wrote the controversial film Don's Plum , which was not allowed to appear in the United States and Europe due to legal objections by the two actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire .
She then made the short film The Burgundy Room , which won three prizes, including the main prize, at the Louisianna Short Film Festival. It was followed by First and Last (1997) and the short film Wait . In 2006 she made Little Chenier . After two short films, the literary film adaptation Forever My Girl based on a novel by Heidi McLaughlin followed in 2018 . For this she also wrote the script, changing the main character from a rock to a country singer .
She has been married to comedian Josh Wolf since 2004 . The couple have four children.
