The Beton Combo (also: Betoncombo ) was a German punk band from the club SO36 in West Berlin .
Band history
The singer Heske got involved with Karl-Ulrich Walterbach in the organization of the KZ36. Walterbach started shortly afterwards with AGR, one of the biggest punk labels in Germany, and brought out the only LP of the concrete combo with Perfection is the thing of the gods . A few EPs and sampler contributions followed before the group split up in 1986.
In 1994 a compilation titled Gute Zeiten - Schlechte Zeiten was released on the label Nasty Vinyl .
meaning
At the time of its existence, Beton Combo was one of the most famous political punk bands from Berlin. In the divergent punk scene of the early 1980s, together with Slime , Toxoplasma , Hass or Daily Terror, she was the most important representative of political rock punk compared to the differentiated but also respected art punk bands with arbitrary content.
Nazis out! , The most famous song of the band, was later among other Slime and Volxsturm gecovert and appeared in 1991 as the title track of a compilation of the label Weird System , the most important songs of the punk scene compiled against neo-fascists.
