Bromma depot

The depot Bromma ( Swedish Brommadepån ) of Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL) is located in the Alvik district in Västerort in Stockholms kommun .

Brommahallen

The construction of the Brommahallen began in October 1942, as a new hall was needed for the new fleet of vehicles in connection with the construction of the Ängbybana . The carriage hall with 14 tracks was completed in 1944.

Previously, there was a building with emergency accommodation at this point, which was built in 1917. Over the years, the depot has been used by cars on the Ängbybanan, Ulvsundabanan , Nockebybanan and Tvärbanan tram lines, as well as by the Gröna line of the Stockholm tunnelbana .

Brommadepån

In the depot, next to the sidings, there was a workshop for the trams of the Nockebybana and the Tvärnana. This workshop hall was completely renewed in 1997.

Until 2010, the wagon hall also housed a storage hall and a workshop for buses, which were then relocated to the new Lunda depot ( Lundadepån in Swedish ) in Spånga .

On May 9, 2016, the tram cars of the Tvrebsana were relocated to the new tram depot Ulvsunda ( Swedish: Ulvsundadepån ) in the industrial area of Ulvsunda, where maintenance and repairs have been carried out for both lines since then. Since then, the depot has only served as a parking facility for Nockebybana vehicles.

future

The area of the depot is to be cleared by December 31, 2021 and then converted into a residential area.
