Production engineer

Production engineers are primarily responsible for the operation, monitoring and maintenance of the systems in the field of energy supply, in the chemical and manufacturing industries . They guarantee functionality and are responsible for increasing production quality , productivity and profitability .

In the company, for example, they can be responsible for the repair and maintenance as well as the setup and adjustment work of the systems, the search for errors and the elimination of faults or the planning of process systems, development of system concepts.

Production engineers represent a link between middle and lower management, usually do not have any managerial responsibility, but are often authorized to issue instructions on safety-relevant aspects.

Process engineers , mechatronics engineers or electrical engineers are usually employed as production engineers , depending on the industry .
