Bettina Billerbeck

Bettina Billerbeck (born April 28, 1972 in Wuppertal ) is a German editor- in- chief at Gruner & Jahr .

Life

In the summer of 1991 Billerbeck completed an internship at the Westdeutsche Zeitung in Wuppertal after graduating from the Wilhelm-Dörpfeld-Gymnasium . From 1991 to 1996 she studied Medieval and Modern History, Anglo-American History and Economics at the University of Cologne .

From January 1997 to December 1998 she did an internship at the Jahreszeiten Verlag . From January 1999 she was employed there as editor and department head; there she was responsible for the monthly gourmet magazine Der Feinschmecker . From September 2005 to April 2009 she was text editor and deputy editor-in-chief of the monthly women's magazine Myself at Condé Nast Verlag . From May 2009 she was editor-in-chief of the monthly women's magazine Maxi at Bauer Media and then moved to Gruner & Jahr in January 2011. There she works as Editorial Director Living & Editor-in-Chief. She was initially responsible for the weekly magazine Living at Home and then switched to the monthly living magazine, Schöner Wohnen, as editor-in-chief in July 2013 .
