Bettina Brandi

Bettina Brandi (born May 8, 1953 in Bottrop ; † June 18, 2019 in Halle (Saale) ) was a German theater scholar .

Life

Bettina Brandi studied theater studies, German and Italian literature at the Free University of Berlin and completed additional training in media education and media assistance. From 1994 to 2013 she taught theater and media education as a professor at the University of Merseburg . In 1996 she founded the TAC (Theater am Campus) in Merseburg, which she managed until 2013.

She worked as a lecturer in political youth education and community media work. In 1997 she was founding chairwoman and until 2009 board member of the broadcaster Offener Kanal Merseburg-Querfurt eV From 2000 to 2004 she took over the scientific management of the cultural education qualification project "DOMINO civil courage in the limelight" at "XENOS Living and Working in Diversity" with international partners in the Merseburg area.
