Bettina Emmerling

Bettina Emmerling (born March 5, 1980 in Wolfsberg ) is an Austrian politician ( NEOS ). She has been a member of the Vienna State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council since 2015 .

Life

Emmerling graduated from the Ingeborg-Bachmann-Gymnasium in Klagenfurt in 1999 and studied environmental systems science at the University of Graz between 1999 and 2005 . She completed her studies with a master's degree. In 2004 she completed an Erasmus semester abroad at the University of Bratislava and between 2006 and 2007 attended the postgraduate course “Management and Environment” (MSc.) In St. Pölten . In addition, she completed internships in the telecommunications, consulting and public administration sectors. Since May 2005 Emmerling has been project manager for traffic and mobility at the Austrian Energy Agency in the fields of studies and expertise for decision-makers from business and politics as well as in the field of evaluation and development of measures for climate protection programs.

From December 2013 Emmerling got involved in the NEOS in Vienna - Döbling as well as in the NEOS European election campaign and in February 2014 became the head of the transport group at NEOS in Vienna. In June 2014 she took on the role of Döbling District Coordinator. She ran for third place on the NEOS state list in the state and municipal council elections in Vienna in 2015 and was first in the list in the constituencies of Simmering , Meidling , Hietzing and Döbling . On November 24, 2015, she was sworn in as a member of the state parliament or local councilor. As a result, she took on the role of deputy club chairwoman and is women's spokesperson, traffic spokesperson, environmental spokesperson, animal welfare spokesperson and agriculture spokesperson for the NEOS Club.

Emmerling is married and has two children.
