Bettina Löbel (born November 29, 1962 in Dresden , after marriage to Bettina Mirsojan ) is a former German swimmer who competed for the GDR . In 1979 and 1980 she was GDR champion over 200 m breasts. She had her greatest international success at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow when she was seventh in the 200 m chest. She also took part in the 100 m breaststroke competition, but was eliminated in the preliminary stages. Bettina Löbel now lives in Moers and is a member of Duisburger ST .
