Claudia Müller-Ebeling

Claudia Müller-Ebeling (* 1956 ) is a freelance art historian , speaker, author and translator specializing in visionary and psychoactive art.

Life

Müller-Ebeling studied art history, ethnology, indology and literary studies in Freiburg, Hamburg, Paris and Florence. She did her doctorate in 1995 at the University of Stuttgart with the subject The Temptation of Saint Anthony under Odilon Redon .

She lives in Hamburg with the American scholar and ethnologist Christian Rätsch . For more than twenty years they have been researching medicinal plants and shamanism as well as the elementary principles of shamanic art in Guadeloupe , Korea , the Amazon and the Himalayas . Numerous books on medicinal plants, ayahuasca , shamanism and mythology as well as art historical considerations were created.
