Between the Tides is a British short documentary directed by Ralph Keene from 1959 .
action
The film presents the life of animals and plants on the British west coast. There are rocks in the sea off the west coast, which are not only attractive to holidaymakers, but are also home to a rich flora and fauna. The film shows large periwinkles , sea snails and limpets as well as various mussels, algae and sea anemones . Also are starfish to see, crabs and sponges. The beach is also lively, especially when the tide comes in. Tube worms and crabs burrow in the sand to avoid the birds. They are nevertheless successful time and again in the hunt, as they have to look after their young animals. Among other things, razorbills , kittiwakes and puffins are presented . When the tide reaches the coast again, the frozen beings, like the tube worms, come to life again - an eternal cycle.
