Bevan Calvert (born April 4, 1986 in Sydney , Australia ) is an Australian handball player .

Calvert initially played football and tried other sports. The son of an Australian and a Filipino woman came to handball later through a school tournament. In 2006, the winger moved to the Danish club Ribe HK, which played in the 1st division, the second highest Danish division. Two years later, the league rival TM Tønder signed him . After a season at Tønder Calvert moved to the German club TSV Altenholz , with whom he played in the 2nd Bundesliga and in the 3rd division . In the summer of 2014 he joined the third division club Mecklenburg Stiere Schwerin (then SV Mecklenburg Schwerin). From the 2016/17 season Calvert wanted to play for the upper division SG Wift, but only a few days after the announcement of the change, he decided to change again. After the 2017/18 season he joined the second team from THW Kiel . Since the 2019/20 season he has also been the assistant coach of the 2nd team.

Calvert made his debut for the Australian national team in 2004 . There he was also the team captain. With Australia, the left-hander took part in five world championships so far in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013 .
