Beverlo ( German  Beverloo ) is now part of the Belgian municipality of Beringen in the province of Limburg . Historically, it formed the Ham rulership with the neighboring towns of Oosterham and Kwaadmechelen .

Camp de Beverlo

In the course of Belgium's independence , the Kamp van Beverlo military training area was set up on the heath between Beverloo and Heppen , from which the Leopoldsburg community later emerged. As a result of the merger of Belgian municipalities , Beverlo became part of the municipality of Beringen on January 1, 1977, to which there was no historical reference, while Leopoldsburg became an independent municipality.
