Motion drive

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Under a motion ride the "driving to driving's sake" is otherwise with (too) little moving vehicles to avoid damage while understood. In particular, oldtimers and sports vehicles are only used seasonally and sporadically and are accordingly susceptible to damage to the vehicle (see also vehicle registration number (Germany): 07 registration number ).

Disaster control vehicles and volunteer fire brigades as well as special vehicles from professional or plant fire brigades as well as Bundeswehr emergency vehicles located in the home country have only limited mileage due to the low frequency of use and short distances to the place of use. In addition to avoiding damage to the vehicle, the movement drive also serves as an exercise for the responsible drivers / machinists : the more often a vehicle is moved in everyday traffic, the more routine and safe it is to handle it and the safer it is to drive with special rights and rights of way .

For similar reasons, moving journeys are also common on the railways, for example with the rescue trains of Deutsche Bahn .

The test run of a stationary system, for example a backup power generator in a hospital, can be compared to the movement of a vehicle .
