The district of Rovereto (also: Roveredo ) was a political district in the Fürsteten Grafschaft Tirol . The district comprised areas in the center of Trentino . The seat of the district administration was the city of Rovereto . The area was added to Italy after the First World War .

The modern, political districts of the Habsburg Monarchy were created in 1868 when the political and judicial administration was separated.

The district of Rovereto was created in 1868 from the four judicial districts of Ala , Rovereto , Mori and Nogaredo , the city of Rovereto, which belongs to the judicial district of Rovereto, was not part of the district. In 1869 there were 50,821 people living in the Rovereto district; There were 9,636 houses in it and it covered 12.16 square miles.

The Nogaredo Judicial District was renamed the Villa Lagarina Judicial District in 1905 .

The Rovereto district covered an area of ​​718.70 km² in 1910 and housed a population of 57,167 people, of which 294 had German , 55,357 Italian or Ladin and 1,516 specified another language as a colloquial language or were foreigners. The district consisted of four judicial districts with a total of 42 parishes.

Due to the border regulations of the Treaty of Saint-Germain signed on September 10, 1919, the entire district of Rovereto was added to Italy.
