The district office Engen , based in Engen , a town in the district of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg , was a Baden district office from 1849 to 1936 .

history

In 1849 the noble office Engen of the princes zu Fürstenberg was converted into a sovereign district office, which in 1857 received its municipalities after the district office of Blumenfeld was abolished .

In 1863 the state commissioner district of Konstanz was created, to which the Engen district office also belonged.

In 1936 the Engen district office was abolished and the municipalities were assigned to the districts of Konstanz , Donaueschingen and Stockach .
