District rabbinate Langenschwalbach

The district rabbinate Langenschwalbach , based in Langenschwalbach , the district town in the Rheingau-Taunus district in Hesse , was established around 1830 and existed until 1851. In 1851 the seat of the rabbinate was moved to Bad Ems .

District rabbi

The rabbinate was initially occupied by the land rabbi Samuel Salomon Wormser from Fulda , who retired in 1848 and died in 1858 .

Rabbi Benjamin Höchstätter (1811–1888) , who initially worked as a religious teacher in Heddernheim and Langenschwalbach, had been in office since 1848 .
