Bianca Maria Bazaliu (born July 30, 1997 in Slatina ) is a Romanian handball player who belongs to the squad of the Romanian national team.
Career
Bianca Bazaliu initially played for LPS Slatina in her hometown. In the summer of 2014, the back player signed a six-year contract with the Romanian first division club CSM Bucharest . With CSM Bucharest she won the Romanian championship in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 and the Romanian Cup in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Furthermore, she was in the final of the EHF Champions League in the 2015/16 season . Before the end of the contract, she moved to league competitor Corona Brașov.
Bazaliu won the gold medal with the Romanian youth national team at the U-18 World Cup in 2014 . She finished third on the goalscorer list with 76 hits and was elected to the All-Star team. A year later, Bazaliu took part in the U-19 European Championship , where they finished second in the scorers list with 85 hits. She is now a member of the Romanian senior team. After Cristina Neagu was seriously injured at the European Championships in 2018 , Bazaliu was nominated. With Romania she finished fourth.
