There is pure boredom in the church. For this reason, the family falls asleep and dreams of a Bible story each, whose protagonists have been replaced by the characters from the series. Marge dreams that she is Eve from Adam and Eve , while Homer represents her male conspecific. Both live in paradise and eat the fruits that God gives them. God says they can eat all but one apple tree. A snake outwits Adam and he eats several fruits while Eve refuses his act. Adam still manages to get Eve to eat a sweet fruit. At that moment, God sees Eve eating the apple. He gets angry and banishes Eve from Paradise. Adam hides his apples behind a bush, but later feels guilty for Eve. When trying to bring Eve back to Paradise, both of them are banished. Lisa dreams how she is punished by the Pharaoh with Moses , who is represented by Milhouse, by being locked in a pyramid. But both can climb out of it. Moses says the Jewish people should use the flush of several toilets connected to the Red Sea. This allows them to cross the sea because the water has disappeared. When the Egyptian slaveholders try to stop them, the water comes back. Homer dreams that he is King Solomon and orders two people to die because they are fighting over their cake. Then Salomon eats the cake. Bart dreams that he is King David and that he is fighting the giant Goliath . Goliath wins for now and becomes king. David is now training with sheep to prepare against another fight with Goliath. When David climbs up the huge tower where Goliath lives, he manages to push him down and kill him. But now David also learns that Goliath was loved by his people. He will be arrested. Eventually the whole Simpson family wakes up. She leaves the church and finds that the end of the world has begun.
