Anniken Ramberg Krutnes

Anniken Ramberg Krutnes (born September 15, 1968 in Asker ) is a Norwegian diplomat . She was the Norwegian ambassador to the Netherlands from 2011 to 2016 and has been the special envoy and ambassador for Arctic and Antarctic affairs ever since.

Life

Anniken Ramberg Krutnes studied economics and law . She is married and has three children.

Diplomatic career

In 1994 she joined the Foreign Service. From 2004 to 2008 she was Deputy Director and 2008 to 2011 General Director of the Service Department in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs .

From September 28, 2011 to 2016, she was the Norwegian ambassador in The Hague . As the Norwegian ambassador to the Netherlands, she was co-accredited for Luxembourg . She then became special envoy and ambassador for the Arctic and Antarctic and thus also Norwegian representative to the Arctic Council as well as commissioner for the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meetings (ACTM) of the Secretariat for the Antarctic Treaty and the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR).
