Library for good taste
The library for good taste is a series of books published between 1772 and 1788 in Bern , Amsterdam and Vienna .
The Bern publisher Beat Ludwig Walthard (1743–1802) published a number of reprints in conjunction with Johannes Schreuder in Amsterdam and Thomas von Trattner in Vienna . The series included works by Sophie von La Roche , Christoph Martin Wieland , Christian Fürchtegott Gellert , Johann Wolfgang Goethe and August Gottlieb Meissner .
The book decorations in the series are by Balthasar Anton Dunker , Marquard Wocher and Sigmund Freudenberger .
