Bibury is a village in the county of Gloucestershire in England . It is considered a particularly typical village of the Cotswolds .

The artist and writer William Morris called Bibury "the most beautiful village in England" ( German : The most beautiful village in England). The honey-colored stone houses from the 17th century were the home of weavers who supplied the neighboring Arlington Mill with fabric.

Worth seeing

  • Arlington Mill. This former mill now houses a folklore and agriculture museum. One room in the building is dedicated to the writer William Morris.
  • Another Bibury attraction is a trout farm that dates back to 1902 . 10 million rainbow trout are pulled every year.

The small river Coln flows through the village next to the main road.
