Bielkenhagen 7 (Stralsund)
The building with the postal address Bielkenhagen 7 is a listed building on Bielkenhagen street in Stralsund , on the corner of Heilgeiststraße .
The two-storey plastered building received its present form in the 18th century, but is essentially older.
The facade is kept simple. A three-axis front with a tail gable points to Heilgeiststrasse. The long side to Bielkenhagen is supported by three wall pillars.
The house is located in the core area of the city area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund with the number 100.
The corner building originally served as a city prison ("city custody"). The best-known inmate was Maria Flint , who was convicted of child murder and was executed in 1765.
