Eva Klinger-Römhild

Eva Klinger-Römhild (born January 15, 1945 in Benediktbeuern ; † May 28, 2013 in Salzburg ) was a German ceramist and sculptor .

Live and act

Eva Klinger-Römhild was a daughter of the painter Will Klinger-Franken and sister of the photographer Thomas Klinger . In 1960, as a teenager, she moved with her family to Ramsau near Berchtesgaden and from 1961 began an apprenticeship in pottery in Berchtesgaden , combined with attending the painting class at the Berchtesgaden carving school . In 1964 she completed her apprenticeship at the Academy in Munich with a journeyman's examination and then attended the master class at the technical college for ceramics in Landshut from 1965 to 1966 . In 1967 she opened her own workshop in Würzburg . From 1970 she lived and worked in the historic Brunnhaus in Hammer near Siegsdorf . From 2003 she had another residence in Salzburg , where she died on May 28, 2013.

Numerous exhibition participations and solo exhibitions at home and abroad made her works known, which have also received several awards - u. a. 1974 with the Bavarian State Prize. Her works have also been purchased by several museums and collections as well as for public space .
