The Beer Point is a headland in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It protrudes 11 km northeast of Mount Queensland in the west flank of the Campbell Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it through survey work and using aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1955 and 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after the American biologist Jeffrey W. Bier (1942-2011), who began in 1966 the McMurdo station was active.
