PGO Big Max

Big Max 50 (model year 2017)

The PGO Big Max is a motor scooter model from the Taiwanese brand PGO Scooters ( Chinese 摩特動力 ). The Big Max is next to the PGO Star and the PGO T-Rex of the most successful models of the brand.

Model history

Big Max 50 (model year 1997)

The first Big Max appeared on the market in 1997 and, alongside the MBK Booster , the identical Yamaha BWS and the Piaggio TPH, was one of the first standard off-road scooters with thick studded tires. Initially, the model was manufactured as a two-stroke engine with a displacement of 49 cm³ and 82 cm³ . The delivery of the 82 cm³ model was discontinued in 1999. The 50 cc version is also available as single-seat, throttled moped scooters. After the regulation change came into force on January 1, 2002 as part of Europeanization, which reduced the maximum speed of mopeds from 50 km / h to 45 km / h, the small scooter model was also offered with a throttled engine. The first model series was available in red metallic, black and blue metallic, the 49 cm³ models also in violet metallic and yellow.

As part of the facelift , including a facelift and altered lettering were from 2003 in 50 Big Max brakes and chassis built with better components more powerful fork and new struts. The current BigMax 50 model meets the Euro 2 standard.
