The BIKE Festival Garda Trentino is one of the bike magazine hosted a mountain bike - Festival . The festival is the traditional season opener in the mountain bike scene and takes place every year at the beginning of May in Riva del Garda on Lake Garda .

history

In 1994 the BIKE Festival Garda Trentino was brought into being by Ulrich Stanciu , the founder and current publisher of the bike magazine. At that time, 7,000 visitors attended the festival on a small scale. In the meantime, more than 45,000 visitors and 170 exhibitors appear every year at the festival, which took place for the 26th time in 2019. In 2020 the event had to be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic .

Exhibition area

The center of the festival is the exhibition area at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Riva del Garda, which is located on the shores of Lake Garda. At the fair, exhibitors make their new products of the season available to look at and try out. In addition to well-known bicycle manufacturers, tourism destinations and brands with bicycle accessories are also represented. Many bike brands offer visitors the opportunity to rent mountain bikes and e-mountain bikes and try them out on the test tracks around the festival site. The exhibitors use the fair to present their innovations, developments and trends for the new season .

The fair is open on all days of the festival and is free of charge for all visitors.

Sporty program

The events include several races. The BIKE marathon is a sporting highlight and is divided into four different distances ( Ronda Facile , Ronda Piccola , Ronda Grande , Ronda Extrema ). The first race of the Scott Enduro Series will also take place as part of the festival . To address the current topic of e-mountain biking, the eMTB Challenge has been taking place since 2016. The focus here is not on the idea of ​​racing, but on driving fun and the special features of an e-bike. There is a children's race on Sunday.
