Batschuns Education Center
The formation house Batschuns is in Batschuns in the municipality between water in District Feldkirch in Vorarlberg . The Roman Catholic Education House was built by the work of the Good News Batschun .
history
In a word from Pope Pius XII. Bishop Bruno Wechner opened the new Bildungshaus Pius XII on July 11, 1965 . Batschuns , which originally bore the name of this Pope.
After a structural expansion, the educational center was reopened on April 26, 2009.
architectural art
The painter Ferdinand Gehr created four tapestries . The Pietà figure was created around 1360 and comes from Braz. In the lecture hall is a crucifix by Jakob Summer . There are Lenten towels by Alfred Graf (1995) for the chapel .
Educational offer
The education house orients its work on the principles of Christian ethics and social teaching . Based on a Christian-Biblical attitude, respect and openness towards other cultures and religions, solidarity with the disadvantaged and ecological responsibility are decisive.
The course offerings include events in the areas of spirituality, the Bible, theology, philosophy and history, upbringing and personal development, women's education, health, aging, life, death and grief counseling, dance and art. Longer-term courses serve to provide professional training in various socio-educational and nursing professions.
