The Stuttgart Stadtmitte train station is a traffic junction in Stuttgart .

It is located in the western area of ​​downtown Stuttgart in the Stuttgart-Mitte district and has exits to Rotebühlplatz and Büchsenstraße .

The stop at Rotebühlplatz (city center) is the last underground stop of the Stuttgart city railway to be in operation.

Between September 2014 and December 2019, the name of the stop was due to the shopping center Das Gerber Rotebühlplatz (Das Gerber), which opened on September 23, 2014 .

Rotebühlpassage

The Rotebühlpassage under the square of the same name also belongs to the structure. The passage connects the stops of the S-Bahn and the light rail. It houses kiosks and bakeries. The SSB operate a customer center in the passage.

The Rotebühlpassage merges seamlessly into the passage below the City Plaza . Escalators take you directly to the TREFFPUNKT Rotebühlplatz on Fritz-Elsas-Straße. The Rotebühlpassage was connected to the adjacent Calwer Passage via short escalators until 2019; but then that shopping arcade with surrounding commercial buildings was demolished.
