Biljana Vankovska

Biljana Vankovska ( Macedonian Билјана Ванковска , last name also Cvetovska-Vankovska or Vankovska-Cvetovska ; * 1959 in Skopje ) is a Macedonian political scientist.

She completed her political science studies at the University of Skopje in 1992 with a doctorate . She has been teaching there since 1993, initially as a lecturer and now as a full professor at the Institute for Security, Defense and Peace of the Philosophical Faculty. She is also a professor at the European University Center for Peace Studies in Stadtschlaining (Austria). In 2000/01 she completed a research stay at the Geneva Center for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces in Geneva .

In 2006/07 she was a member of the board of the Macedonian Helsinki Committee . She is a member of the movement Democracy in Europe 2025 (DiEM25), founded in 2016.
