Bill Green (hammer thrower)
Bill Green (actually William Ernest Green; born April 28, 1960 in Laurel , Maryland ) is a former American hammer thrower .
At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he was sixth.
In 1986 he became US champion. His personal best of 77.72 m, he set on April 18, 1987 in Culver City .
At the Pan American Games in Indianapolis in 1987 , he finished second, but was disqualified after an excessive testosterone level was discovered in his doping test . After the two-year ban imposed because of this violation of the doping regulations , he did not participate in competitions.
