Bill Holcombe

Bill Holcombe (* 9. November 1924 in Trenton , the US state of New Jersey ; † 25. April 2010 ibid; actually Wilford Lawshe Holcombe ) was an American composer and flutist . He also publishes under his maiden name Wilford L. Holcombe and the pseudonyms Wilfred Lawshe , Seth Markham and Wes Tompkins .

From 1941 he studied music theory and composition at the University of Pennsylvania with Harold Bennett, among others . This was followed by further studies at the well-known Juilliard School in the subjects of flute , music theory and instrumentation . His career began as a flautist on radio and other recordings, as well as writing arrangements for well-known personalities. His works for films and television shows also became known.
