Billy Crawford (2009)

Billy Joe Crawford (born May 16, 1982 in Manila , Philippines ) is a Filipino singer , dancer , producer , songwriter and actor with V2 Music .

Career

Crawford sings soul , R'n'B and pop and is based heavily on role models like Michael Jackson . His talent was discovered at the age of two when he started dancing on a bowling table. He then got some roles in Filipino commercials, later in funny or tragic films in which he "always played the son". When he moved in with his Texan father at the age of eleven , his popularity ended abruptly. Since he got bored, he performed in a talent competition and won. His current producer and manager took him to New York and got a contract for him with V2.

His first album came out when he was 16 years old. His trademark back then was his long hair. Today he calls the album Billy Crawford Hanson on crack .

In 2002 the second album called Ride was released with a new look and sound , which was less successful except in France . The previously released single Trackin ' was a great success (5th place in France and Switzerland ) and also made him known in Germany. From 2003 to 2004 he lived mainly in Paris with his fiancée Lorie , a French pop singer from whom he separated in the summer of 2004, and only produces for France and now also for Great Britain .

The biggest award he has won so far was arguably the 2002 Energy Award for Best Male Singer . In 2004 his third album Big City was released there .
