Lorie
Lorie (born May 2, 1982 in Le Plessis-Bouchard ; real name Laure Pester ) is a French singer and actress. She is very well known and successful in the French-speaking world. For her first album, Près de toi , she received the triple platinum award from the SNEP .
life and career
She took dance lessons at the age of three and later devoted herself to figure skating . As a sport enthusiast, she graduated from high school in this direction.
Her first song, Près de moi , written by Johnny Williams and Louis Element, was released for free on the internet in 2000 and downloaded over 15,000 times in a month, but it was not until 2001 that her song was released as a single and became a huge hit has been. Lorie's book Mes secrets was also successful. Their second studio album, Tendrement , was overshadowed by a dispute between Johnny Williams and Louis Element over copyright, but it was still a best seller.
Lorie also remained a star with the other albums and singles as well as the many appearances on French television and concerts. In 2005 she released a best-of album. In the same year her fourth studio album Rester la même was released , which contains a mixture of different musical styles, including a. Pop , Zouk and R'n'B .
Your fifth studio album 2lor en moi? was released on November 26, 2007. It was produced in France, England and Sweden. Lorie regularly attends the annual Les Enfoirés charity concert , the largest media event in the Francophone world.
For the 10th anniversary of her career, she decided to publish a third book. It is titled Lorie and was released on October 8, 2009. It contains 100 rare and unpublished photos, including from concerts with Les Enfoirés. The French singer Jean-Jacques Goldman wrote the foreword to the book.
Lorie has sold more than 7 million albums, 1 million DVDs and 500,000 books in a 10 year career. On 4 tours she had 1 million viewers in 265 concerts. In some interviews she announced a new album for 2011. The first recordings took place in November 2009. Lorie and her team have been working on the new project since October 12, 2010.
In early August 2011, Lorie released the cover and title of her new single Dita . This was published on August 26, 2011 in the French-speaking countries.
In 2012 she took part in the third season of the dance show Danse avec les stars .

Filmography
In addition to music, she has also been working as an actress under the name Lorie Pester since 2008 . She got her first role as an actress in the television film De feu et de glace . In this she plays with Christophe Malavoy, Nadia Fossier and Annie Gregorio, among others. On April 20, 2009 the film was broadcast on the French channel TF1; more than 6 million people have seen it. In late 2008, Lorie starred in an episode of the US television series Shadow of Passion . In early 2010 she shot the television film Un mari de trop with the French actor Alain Delon . In the action film Blood of the Sun , a B-movie set in Algeria and Oman , she is Sanya, the killer of gang boss Slimane. Her second feature film, Dragon Blade, is a Hong Kong film with Jackie Chan . In a minor supporting role , she appears as the Persian queen.

theatre
From January 12th to February 27th, 2016 Lorie was also seen on the stage of a theater for the first time. In the comedy Pygmalion she played the lead role of Eliza Doolittle at the Paris Théâtre 14 for seven weeks.
