Life

Billy was a member of the group Dino, Desi & Billy . Dino stands for Dino Martin (actually Dean Paul Martin, son of Dean Martin ), Desi for Desiderio Arnaz IV , the son of Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball . The group had some chart successes in 1965 and 1966 under producer Lee Hazlewood .

In 1965 he met the Beach Boys during a concert. He befriended the brothers Carl Wilson and Dennis Wilson . This led to Billy being invited to the Beach Boys' party! Contribute to the album. In 1966, Carl married Billy's sister Annie Hinsche. Some time after the wedding, Billy and Brian Wilson wrote the title Lady Love which became a hit with Dino, Desi & Billy.

In 1968 Billy Hinsche received the offer to become an integral part of the Beach Boys . However, his father insisted that Billy go to school. Billy went on tour with the Beach Boys and became an integral part of the stage band for around 30 years. He can be heard on numerous Beach Boys albums as a backing vocalist and musician. He is also featured as a singer and guitarist on Dennis Wilson's solo album Pacific Ocean Blue .

Billy worked on other projects, mostly with his brother-in-law Carl Wilson. He sang with Carl at Elton John's Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me and with the same produced Ricci Martin's album Beached in 1977. He also composed numerous songs. One of these tracks - One More Night Alone - was released by Carl Wilson on his second solo album Youngblood .

In the 1990s, Billy's own group tried a comeback, but now under the name "Ricci, Desi & Billy", since Dino Martin was replaced by his brother Ricci Martin.

But his musical work was shaped by the Beach Boys. After the death of Carl Wilson he got out of the Beach Boys Band and joined the new group of Al Jardine - “Al Jardine's Families & Friends”. In 2007 he completed his European tour with Brian Wilson . He also published numerous DVDs about the Beach Boys and organized the Dennis Wilson tribute CD One In A Million for which Hinsche himself contributed the title track.
