Robert Eaton

Robert James Eaton (born February 13, 1940 in Buena Vista , Colorado ) is an American manager who was mainly active in the automotive industry.

Life

Robert Eaton grew up in Arkansas City in the US state of Kansas and studied mechanical engineering at the University of Kansas , he graduated in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science degree .

In 1993 he became chairman of the board of directors of Chrysler Corporation . After the merger of Chrysler with Daimler-Benz in 1998, he and Jürgen Schrempp led the newly formed DaimlerChrysler AG (today Daimler AG ). On April 1, 2000, Eaton left DaimlerChrysler AG, Jürgen Schrempp became the sole CEO.

Eaton is married and has two sons.
