The Bingoboys (also Bingo Boys ) were a dance ( electronic dance music ) producing trio from Vienna , consisting of Paul Pfab , Helmut Wolfgruber and Klaus Biedermann, who was also a member of the ultimaTIEF producer team .

Career

In the early 1990s, the music project achieved a world hit with the single How To Dance . Among other things, it reached number 1 on the dance charts in the USA in 1991. It rose to number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts . The track was a collaborative effort with the rapper Princessa from New York , who used the sample, dance, dance, dance of Chic , Dance (Disco Heat ) by Sylvester James and Kiss from The Art of Noise featuring Tom Jones . The track also contains a male voice explaining dance steps.

With the follow-up single Borrowed Love (also with Princessa), the trio could no longer build on this success. The song made it to number 32 on the dance charts and number 71 on the Billboard charts. In addition to Princessa, Arnold Jarvis was also represented in this piece with a vocal part.

By the mid-1990s they had several hits of their own in Austria, and they also produced and mixed numerous national and international stars in the Bingoboys Studios in Vienna. In 1996 the Bingo Boys separated.

Before that, they also worked as producers for the Edelweiss project , which had a number one hit with Raumschiff Edelweiss .
