Biotechnology for Biofuels is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that has been published since 2008 by BioMed Central, a publisher belonging to the Springer group . The editors-in-chief are Michael E. Himmel, Debra Mohnen, Charles E. Wyman and James C. du Preez.
In terms of content, the magazine deals with the use of renewable raw materials as well as technological and operational advances in the production of biofuels . In addition, related economic, ecological and institutional aspects of biofuel production are dealt with.
