Birgit Ebbert

Birgit Ebbert (born October 23, 1962 in Borken , Westphalia) is a German author of children's and young people's books, crime novels, specialist books and learning materials.

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Borken , Ebbert studied educational sciences , psychology and sociology in Münster and Bonn and graduated in 1987 with a diploma in education . In 1993 Ebbert received his doctorate from the University of Bonn on Erich Kästner . After completing her studies, Ebbert worked for Aktion Jugendschutz in Stuttgart for ten years , initially as a media consultant and later as managing director.

Before Ebbert became self-employed in 2006 as a freelance author and with her learning centers Die Lernbegleiter , she held a leading position in the head office of a tutoring school and helped set up Duden institutes for learning therapy. As a freelance author, Ebbert has been writing guidebooks, thrillers, learning aids and children's books since 2006. Today Birgit Ebbert lives and writes in Hagen , not only for, but also with children, so that they can enjoy writing regardless of school grades.
