Birgit Jüngst-Dauber (born September 1, 1967 in Hatzfeld / Eder as Birgit Jüngst ) is a German mountain biker and triathlete .

Career

Jüngst-Dauber was the first German female mountain biker to win a medal in an international women's mountain biking championship: she won the gold medal in 2003 at the European Championships in Graz ( Austria ) in the mountain bike marathon . In 2005 she won the silver medal at the European Championships in Germany. Shortly afterwards, she canceled the upcoming 2005 World Cup due to pregnancy. In addition, she won all the major endurance races in the world, including a. also the Transalp Challenge .

After starting a family, she also achieved success in triathlon in her age group: In 2010 she became European triathlon champion (winner of Ironman 70.3 Germany in the W40 age group), European cross-striathlon champion in 2011, and multiple German cross-striathlon champion.

Jüngst-Dauber is married and has two sons.
