Julien Ielsch (born March 5, 1983 in Belfort ) is a French football player . He plays as a left full-back or in defensive midfield.

Club career

As a youth player, Ielsch ran for the French U-15 and U-16 teams. He began playing football at FC Sochaux , where he did not get beyond the second team. In 2004 he signed with the Swiss first division club Neuchâtel Xamax . There he was used regularly, but left the club again in 2005 when he went to Stade Reims . At the second division he was also a regular player. In 2010 he moved to third division club SC Amiens . With this he was promoted to the second division in 2011, which was followed by relegation only a year later. Ielsch kept his place in the first team until he signed with third division rivals Red Star Paris in the summer of 2013 . In 2015 he moved to third-rate SC Amiens, with whom he made the leap into the first division in 2017 after two promotions in a row.
