Birgit Mock (born April 8, 1970 in Aachen ) is the managing director of the Hildegardis Association . She is family policy spokeswoman for the Central Committee of German Catholics and Vice President of the Catholic German Women's Association .

Career

Birgit Mock grew up in Aachen- Laurensberg . She attended the Anne Frank High School there . Volunteering

Birgit Mock has been a member of the national board of the Catholic German Women's Association (KDFB) since 2003, and has been the vice president of the KDFB since 2011. Mock's areas of responsibility on the board include questions of bioethics and family policy and the church dialogue process.

Birgit Mock is family policy spokeswoman for the Central Committee of German Catholics (ZDK). In her department, Mock is responsible for church and socio-political positioning. Her contribution to the papal letter Amoris Laetitia was published on the front page of the Osservatore Romano . The ZdK is the union of representatives of the diocesan councils and the Catholic associations as well as of institutions of the lay apostolate and other personalities from church and society. Cardinal Marx appointed Birgit Mock in November 2016 as an advisor to the Episcopal Commission on Marriage and Family.

Awards

The Hildegardis Association's first mentoring program for students with disabilities in Germany was awarded the “ 365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas 2010 ” innovation competition and the Aggiornamento Prize of the 2014 Catholic Day. The project was funded by the Contergan Foundation for Disabled People .
