Birgit Rydlewski (born January 16, 1970 in Dortmund ) is a German educator and politician . From 2012 to 2017 she was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia for the Pirate Party .

Life

She graduated from high school in Dortmund in 1989. After she trained as a tax clerk, she studied pedagogy , mathematics , economics , psychology and German in Dortmund . She passed her state examination in German and economics in 2002 and then worked in school.

She joined the Pirate Party in July 2009 . From the end of January 2010 to February 2011 she was state chairwoman of the Pirate Party of North Rhine-Westphalia . On the 9th place of the state list of the Pirate Party in the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2012 , Rydlewski was elected as a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia on May 13, 2012 . In 2017, she no longer ran for the state elections and, according to her own statements, left the Pirate Party.
