Birgit Zeimetz (born August 23, 1960 in Bitburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ), former member of the Hessian state parliament and former full-time department head in Wiesbaden .

education and profession

After graduating from high school, Zeimetz studied law at the University of Mainz from 1979 to 1984 . She completed her legal clerkship at the Wiesbaden Regional Court. She then worked from 1987 to 1988 as a research assistant for the CDU parliamentary group in Wiesbaden and from 1989 to 1990 a consultant at the Hessian District Association until she became a judge at the administrative court in 1990.

Birgit Zeimetz had been married to Ralph Alexander Lorz since 1994 and was the mother of two children. The couple have since divorced.

Birgit Zeimetz has been a member of the CDU since 1983, where she is a member of the district and district executive board, and has been deputy chairwoman of the CDU Wiesbaden since 2004. From 1995 to 2005 she was also the district chairwoman of the Women's Union .

From 1993 to 1995 she was a city councilor in Wiesbaden.

From April 5, 1995 to September 30, 2007 she was a member of the Hessian state parliament for the Wiesbaden II constituency . After your departure, Marion Petri moved to the state parliament. In the Landtag, Zeimetz was deputy parliamentary group leader of the CDU parliamentary group from April 5, 1999. From October 1, 2007 to September 30, 2013, Birgit Zeimetz was a full-time department head in Wiesbaden. She had announced to give up the office on October 1, 2013 and to become an administrative judge again.
