Birgitta Rühmer (born March 1, 1959 in Vechta , today Birgitta Rühmer-Bothe) is a former German volleyball player .

Birgitta Rühmer was 36 times German national player and came in sixth with the German national volleyball team at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1984 . From 1973 to 1990 she played almost continuously for Bundesliga club VfL Oythe , only in the 1981/82 season she was used by league competitor 1. VC Schwerte .

Today Birgitta Rühmer-Bothe is active as a tennis player in Vechta .
