Birol Yalçın (born July 20, 1958 in Konya ) is a former Turkish football player and coach.

Career

Athletic career

Birol Yalçın played for Galatasaray Istanbul from 1982 to 1984 . In these two years he came to 18 league games with the yellow-reds and scored one goal. From 1990 to 1993 the striker played in the third division for Karamanspor . Yalçın played his last season in the 1993/94 season with Etibank Seydişehir Alüminyumspor .

Coaching career

A year and a half after the end of his playing career, Birol Yalçın became youth coach at Konyaspor . In January 2000 he was head coach of Zeytinburnuspor and stayed until May 2000. He was then assistant coach at Tokatspor . His last coaching activity was from September 2001 to May 2002 again at Konyaspor as a youth coach.
